A delicious Southern-style dinner featuring crispy fried pork chops served with classic sides.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate the pork chops in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove pork chops from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge in the flour mixture.
  5. Fry the pork chops for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Drain on paper towels before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add cayenne pepper to the flour mixture.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes and green beans for a complete meal.
  • Leftover pork chops can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
