Description

Delicious and healthy salmon burgers served with a refreshing tzatziki sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh salmon, skin removed
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • 1 cup lettuce
  • 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine the salmon, breadcrumbs, green onions, egg, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form the mixture into patties.
  4. Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
  5. Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a salmon patty on each bun, topping with lettuce and tzatziki sauce.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add some chopped jalapeños to the salmon mixture.
  • These burgers can also be baked in the oven at 375°F for 15-20 minutes.
  • Leftover patties can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
