Description

Pineapple Lemonade Candy Apples are a delightful tropical twist on the classic candy apple, combining the sweetness of pineapple and the tanginess of lemonade for a refreshing treat.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the apples thoroughly, then insert sticks into the tops.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, water, pineapple juice, lemon juice, and salt.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil without stirring, and cook until it reaches the hard crack stage (300°F or 150°C).
  5. If desired, add food coloring to the mixture and stir well.
  6. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before dipping the apples.
  7. Dip each apple into the candy mixture, allowing excess to drip off.
  8. Place the coated apples on a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool and harden.
