Instructions

- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and pepper.
- Form the beef mixture into patties, making a slight indentation in the center.
- Cook the patties on a grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- During the last minute of cooking, add cheese on top of the patties if desired.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the patties on buns and topping with the caramelized onions.
