Description

A simple and delicious one-pan recipe featuring ground beef and orzo pasta, baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large oven-safe skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  4. Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, orzo, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. If using, sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the orzo is tender and the cheese is melted.
