Description

Mummy Jalapeño Poppers are a fun and spooky appetizer perfect for Halloween parties, featuring jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in crescent dough to resemble mummies.


Ingredients

  • 12 jalapeño peppers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • Olive oil spray
  • Black olives, sliced (for eyes)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
  3. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese until well combined.
  4. Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
  5. Roll out the crescent dough and cut it into thin strips.
  6. Wrap the strips around the stuffed jalapeños to create a mummy effect.
  7. Place the wrapped jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Spray the wrapped jalapeños with olive oil spray.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and place sliced olives on top for eyes.

Notes

  • For extra spice, leave some seeds in the jalapeños.
  • These can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
  • Serve with ranch dressing or your favorite dipping sauce.
