Description

Jalapeño Cheddar Cornbread is a spicy and savory baked good that combines the sweetness of corn with the heat of jalapeños and the richness of cheddar cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, and eggs.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed.

  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
