Description

A deliciously sweet and spicy baked chicken dish topped with melted feta cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 200 g feta cheese, crumbled
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp hot sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together honey, olive oil, hot sauce, garlic, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in the greased baking dish and pour the marinade over the top.
  4. Bake for 22–28 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese over the chicken and broil for an additional 2–3 minutes until the feta is golden and melted.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with pan sauce.

Notes

Marinate the chicken several hours in advance or overnight for deeper flavors. Use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking.
