Description

A delightful sweet bread infused with honey butter and pecans, perfect for breakfast or as a snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the honey and mix well.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the buttermilk.
  5. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of white sugar.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
