Ingredients

  • 3 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 potatoes, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a large Dutch oven, place the beef chuck roast and season it with salt, pepper, thyme, and paprika.
  3. Add the sliced onion, minced garlic, carrots, and potatoes around the beef.
  4. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the meat and vegetables.
  5. Cover the Dutch oven with a lid and place it in the preheated oven.
  6. Cook for 3-4 hours, or until the beef is fork-tender.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
