Description

Delicious blueberry glazed donuts that are soft, fluffy, and topped with a sweet blueberry glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons blueberry juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, and eggs.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, then gently fold in the blueberries.
  5. Pour the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the donuts cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  8. In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar and blueberry juice to create the glaze.
  9. Dunk the cooled donuts into the glaze and let them set before serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger blueberry flavor, add more blueberries to the batter.
  • Store leftover donuts in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • These donuts can be frozen for up to a month; just thaw before serving.
