Description

Bloody Finger Hot Dog Bites are a spooky and fun snack perfect for Halloween parties or themed gatherings. These creepy-looking hot dogs are made to resemble severed fingers, complete with a bloody ketchup topping.

Ingredients

  • Hot dogs – 8
  • Green bell pepper – 1 (for fingernails)
  • Ketchup – 1/2 cup
  • Mustard – 1/4 cup
  • Hot dog buns – 8

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the hot dogs in half to create finger shapes.
  3. Slice the green bell pepper into small pieces to use as fingernails.
  4. Insert a piece of green bell pepper into one end of each hot dog half.
  5. Place the hot dog fingers in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes until heated through.
  6. While the hot dogs are baking, heat the ketchup in a small saucepan until warm.
  7. Once the hot dogs are done, place them in the hot dog buns.
  8. Drizzle the warm ketchup over the hot dog fingers to create a bloody effect.
  9. Serve with mustard on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, consider adding jalapeños as fingernails.
  • These can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
  • Feel free to use vegetarian hot dogs for a meat-free option.
