Description

A delicious and festive pie combining the tartness of cranberries with the sweetness of apples, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups of fresh cranberries
  • 4 cups of sliced apples
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon of butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine cranberries, sliced apples, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch.
  3. Pour the fruit mixture into the pie crust.
  4. Dot the top with small pieces of butter.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the apples are tender and the crust is golden brown.
  6. Let the pie cool before serving.
